Don’t ever lose your passion

Lots of people live with discouragement; they go about their daily lives and don’t venture beyond that. We can’t let ourselves become religious. When there is no action, the passion dries up.
Paul said that we can not allow the Spirit to go out. We must never lose our momentum.
New birth is linked with passion. If we have really been born again there must be a passion for God inside of us that gives us compassion for souls and for serving God wherever we might be.
1. Pray intensely: Devotional. David did his devotional. If you are going to do great things, you cannot achieve them unless you depend on the master of all these things. You can’t delegate your devotional to someone else.
Psalm 40 shows a powerful devotional. Gen 39:23-24 shows how when Joseph was in prison and a slave, his devotional sustained him. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says: "Pray continually". Remain in the fire at all times and He will change your heart.
Church stop sinning! We need to live in holiness!
2. Believe with all your heart: Hebrews 11:1 says: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see"; v. 6: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." You can be what you believe, and what you confess. You cannot be or have something if you don’t believe it. To see is to possess and to take authority.
• Increase your faith:
1- Faith should grow daily
2- Faith is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Gal.5:22: ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness’.
3- Faith is a gift. It is a gift that will help others. 1 Corinthians 12:9:‘To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to other gifts of healing by that one Spirit.’
• Set yourself challenges, fight to meet them and don't be satisfied with less
• Give your best for God and for others, not only a little effort. Why are you so passionate about other things?
• Renew your mind every day, otherwise you will become very religious.
3. Live and act wholeheartly: 1 Thess. 5:19 says: ‘Do not put out the Spirit's fire.’ Look at who says this: It’s the apostle Paul! Live as if every day were your last day.
• Be full of passion. Don't depend on the outward. Grow inside. Look at the example of Daniel and his friends in Daniel 3:16-18: ‘Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.".’
• Keep your dream alive, write it down, tell others about it, take photos of it and get a team together to achieve it.
What robs us of our passion?
1. Not having time with God
2. Not keeping hold our dreams, goals, plans and objectives
3. Low self-esteem and words like: "I can't" or "ministry is for others”
4. Complacency, laziness, self-satisfaction, self-pity, lack of compassion.
5. Living in a selfish way, living for yourself. Selfishness does not require compassion.
6. Discouragement because things don't turn out as you had hoped.
7. When you lose your sense of calling. Why are you a leader? You must know who called you; you are not doing God a favour. It is a complete privilege to serve him.
